Introduction

The Gopalpur College is a public Non Technical Institution established in 1982 at Gopalpur on Sea, Berhampur, Ganjam of Odisha. The college has been recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC) and is a constituent college of Khallikote Cluster University, Berhampur from academic session 2015-16. Formerly the college was affiliated to Berhampur University since 1990-91.  

The College main campus spread over 2, 17,800 Sq.ft (5 Acre) was built on land donated and supported by local people. The institute offers undergraduate honours programs in various subjects of Arts, Science and Commerce. The college currently consists of 36 faculty members and 25 Non-Teaching Members in 15 Departments.

Vision

To facilitate education in Arts, Science and Commerce Streams to the socially, economically and educationally backward youth of local community. The objective being to enhance their quality parameters in every field by providing them the facility to learn with all ultra-modern learning technologies.

While enhancing their abilities in acquiring better attributes, the intent is to make them socially responsible and explore new avenues of intellectual growth.

Mission

To introduce self-financing courses.
Conducting Departmental, state level and national seminars inviting academicians of eminence from other institutions for making the faculties strides of the postmodern age.

  • To improve the various skills essential on the part of the students in order to make them meet the challenges of life through participation in various extension activities of NSS, YRC and Self-Defence.
