Youth Red Cross unit is functioning in the College as per the guidelines of the state Youth Red Cross, Orissa. There is a college level working committee of the Youth Red Cross comprising Principal as the chairman of the committee, YRC coordinator as the secretary and one member from the teaching staff and two student members from the YRC unit with one boy and one girl.

The Youth Red Cross unit is comprising 30 volunteers consisting of 18 boy and 12 girl students. The volunteers are selected considering the interest, talent and commitment to the service of the society and the needy. The main activities of the YRC unit are the Blood grouping, donation, health and sanitation, to create awareness in prevention of HIV/AIDS under the Red Ribbon Club, Plantation, environment conservation, disaster preparedness and employment generation. The volunteers are participating at the district, and state level training programs and camps.

The YRC fund of the college used to be utilized as per the budget approved by the Action plan. The Annual reports of the YRC activities of the college shall be sent to YRC state Headquarters, Bhubaneswar and the district YRC coordinator, Ganjam, Chatrapur for information to prepare a district level action plan.
