    SCOUT AND GUIDES

    Bharat Scouts and Guides has been introduced in Gopalpur College from the Session 2003-2004. Service is the objective of Scout and Guides. It functions as a part of an international Organisation as per the rules of Scouting. The students having experience in scouting in school days with required certificate will be given preference to join the Rover/Ranger Scout Unit. The Rovers/Rangers can participate in State Camps, National Camps and International Camps if selected by Bharat Scouts and Guides, State Headquarters, Bhubaneswar.

    The Scout “MOTTO” is “Be Prepared”. This has to be achieved by being physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight and confident. All the Rovers/Rangers should abide by the Scout Law.

    At present, the college is having one Rover (boys) and one Ranger (girls) unit. Each unit is consisting of 24 students. During the session 2019-20 thirteen Rangers of our college lead by Ranger leader Dr. Chanchala Jena, Lecturer in History, attended in a state level camp- Sukanya at Sundargarh. Odisha and participated in various programs like village fair, Yoga, Cloth painting, group dance, ramp walk, rangoli, debate competition etc. and also begged Gold medals. In the same academic session 2019-20, 3 Rovers and 3 Rangers of our college were participated in a regional level skill development program camp at Madhupur, Jharkhand. During the session 2021-22, 9 Rovers of our college received Rajya Puraskar from Hon’ble Governor, Odisha Professor Ganeshi Lal.
